Development
PHA develops affordable housing for rent and for shared ownership. Our development programme is concentrated within the Portsmouth Travel to Work Area, namely Portsmouth, Havant, Fareham and Gosport and we are committed to developing over 200 new properties in these areas over the next three years.
Committed to enhancing the areas in which we build, PHA has a commitment to develop:
Quality Homes - All our schemes are designed to meet the Housing Corporation's development requirements and recommendations, as set out in the Design and Quality Standards and Building for Life criteria. Where possible, we seek to exceed these minimum design standards.
Safe Homes - We aim to meet the Secure by Design standard for all our new build schemes, an award that has been developed by the Association of Chief Police Officers.
Sustainable Homes - Where possible, our new build developments incorporate cycle storage, recycling facilities and are well located for public transport. Fully signed up to the government's 2012 Construction Commitments, we use modern methods of construction to deliver homes quickly, efficiently and with reduced environmental impact.
